Postponed Live Album Announcement |

Thanks for the announcement Bryan. I'm sure I speak for all the fans when I say we fully understand Heather's predicament on the night and, quite
rightly, to postpone the release of the live recording is the best thing to do. Strangely these things happen for a reason and I'm sure that the next
recording will be the definitive one you're looking for. I was in the front row at Shepherds Bush and really felt for Heather, having embarked on take two
of "Above The Blue" only to be rudely interrupted by the security walkie talkie randomly firing up!

Indeed, it's good of Bryan to make the announcement. It'd be a good idea to release certain tracks for download but being the perfectionists they are
(not a bad thing) I don't think this would happen.

I think this shows a great deal of honesty and integrity. Lesser bands (or perhaps more fairly, bands under record company pressure) would have retreated to
the studio and replaced the live vocals with pristine studio ones in order to get some product out. Not so MA, who prefer to get it right at source in order to
produce a genuine live album. It'll be worth the wait!

I think we should have the new "walkie-talkie" version of Above The Blue included on the album as a bonus track. It certainly added something to
the song. If looks could kill eh, H?

What about the "Has anyone got any drummer jokes" intro? (And I bet Gavin knows plenty of lead singer jokes too)
Seriously, entirely the right decision. I'd much rather wait an extra couple of months and get the classic live album which will become the definitive MA disk for new fans.

Agreed. this is a sensible and prompt call.
While the band sounded great, it just wouldn't do full justice to Heather, who indeed has been singing magnificently at all the shows we saw last year. I think she put up an amazing performance in the circumstances on Saturday but I'm sure she'd want her very best to be released for posterity. "Mostly Autumn Live in 2009" will do very nicely PLEASE... Howard & Georgia |

Just wanted to thank Bryan for the announcement regarding the album postponement and say how much I agree with his comments about Heather. She has a lovely
voice and has been my favourite female singer since I first heard her. Over the past few years she has become ever more accomplished and has given some truly
wonderful performances both on record and on stage and yes, she is world class and in my opinion as good as anyone else, so the live album should definitely
show her at her best ( and the rest of the band too!).

Whilst I understand (and applaud) the band's decision not to release a CD of a show that they consider to be sub-standard to the general market (where it
hopefully will form many people's first impressions of MA as well as selling to us converts) I for one would happily pay for an "official
bootleg" download version from the MA records site as a souvenir of a gig I considered thoroughly excellent on the night; Heather's vocal problem
notwithstanding (and I thought she did a superb job of compensating tbh).
I most definitely applaud the honesty of the band for coming out and telling us about the problems, as mentioned above, it wouldn't be the first time such a problem was solved with studio over-dubs, so kudos to MA for not taking this route. But for those of us who are already fans, and who enjoyed the show, how about that "official bootleg"? |

Just wondered if anyone knows which gigs have been recorded and when a live album is likely to appear ?
The band seem to have been in cracking form on this tour and I hope that a live album does come from it. Stephen C |
