I ordered mine this morning as well.
I've no idea of the track listing but I'm thinking about NOT trying to find out. When it arrives I'll just stick the CDs on one by one, sit back and relax and enjoy. It could also be fun trying to guess what the next track is! |

Ordered my copy tonight. In the process of buying new speakers so when connected this will be the fist collection of songs I play. Don't want to know the
track listing - will just put the cd's on and let them do the business.

Yup, ordered Friday morning, arrived Saturday morning - very impressed. One lengthy track, which I consider the epitomy of MA, is missing but still delighted
overall.

As there seem to be several people who want to keep the track list as a surprise for when they first listen to it, if anyone does post the track list it might
be a good idea to do this as a separate post with 'Spoiler' in the title (in the same way as a set-list post for a gig). That way those who want to
know the track listing can read it and those who prefer to be surprised can avoid it.

Roger N wrote:Okay Roger make your spoiler comment. I think the most people want to know what they buy. I remember an elpee from Lou Reed with 3 sides of noise ;-) But i think i know the Mostly Autumn clan, they don't cheat, they Rock ;-)

Well just got mine, half way through, like everyone else i wont ruin it by giving the track list but will say im very impressed so far of how well it work,
also pleased to see brain hasnt gone the usual route of picking the obviouse, often played live songs but through others in the mix, both a nices surprise and
some of these surprising choices seem to work so well. Only wonder, because MA are rarely seen in the shops how well this will seel most of us have all the
songs and if this can be distributed it can only help raise MA's profile, first thing i would do is forward it to radio stations, it really shows what a
consistant and amazingly talanted bunch MA are , i cant think of any other best of i have heard to match this, mind you i will admit im biased .

Ordered mine on tuesday and it was here wednesday morning, hows that for service!!! Thanks 'Team MA'!!
Only problem I had was I had to wait to get home from work THEN do some chores before I could get down to listening. Consequently I only got hear half of the "Something for the Campfire" disk before I really was too knackered and just HAD to go to bed. However, what a thirty or so minutes that was. I too can be a bit scepticle about remasters but chrikey, the added clarity and depth virtually leaps out and grabs you by the goolioids the remastering is that good! Anyway I'm into listening to the rest tonight and mightily enjoying it! Great packaging too and at £15 its a bit of a steal really! An absolute must for the completist, and a worthy addition to anyone elses collection. Mick Ah Hah! |

SPOILER ALERT!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!
As no-one else seems to want to, this is the track listing, CP:- DISC 1 (Something For The Spirit) Fading Colours/Ghost In Dreamland/Pure White Light/Distant Train/Answer The Question/Evergreen/The Second Hand/Storms Over Still Water/Paper Angels/Tearing At The Faerytale/Pass The Clock. DISC 2 (Something For The Campfire) Yellow Time/Prints In The Stone/The Eyes Of The Forest/Boundless Ocean/Shindig/Blakey Ridge/When Waters Meet/Winter Is King/Which Wood/At Last To Rivendell/Simple Ways/On The Wings Of Gwaihir/Steal Away/Bitterness Burnt/Shrinking Violet/Goodbye Alone. DISC 3 (Something for the Candlelight) The Night Sky/Silver Glass/Half The Mountain/Carpe Diem/Hollow/Passengers/The Gap Is Too Wide/Glass Shadows/Heroes Never Die. Now that the band have toured 'Glass Shadows' for what amounts to three tours now, it will be interesting to see how many of the tracks on 'Pass The Clock' that haven't had much live exposure for a while might find their way into future set lists. 'Hollow' and 'Passengers', anyone? |

Maybe its time to ditch the 2 sets format, go with a 3 sets format and play the whole darn thing

I'd be up for Hollow, Steal Away & Yellow Time, although I usually prefer the Odin version.

Interesting that a significant proportion of the recent tour setlist isn't included. And the Glass Shadows songs are the ones they haven't been playing
live, but really ought to (IMO of course).

Oh, and Paul Q and/or any moderators - suggest you edit that post and add a few blank lines between the spoiler alert and the actual spoiler!

I see where you're coming from Tim but as Paul Q's is a perfectly legitimate post I don't think it's appropriate for the moderators to
interfere with it. If Paul himself wants to alter it the of course that's his prerogative.
