RE what someone said back along about the guy at Cambridge saying about a new album...
Tbh, I'm not surprised no-one really took any notice of what he said, 'cos he talked rubbish all weekend! |

Back to the live album. I know nothing about social networking sites!
It's never been harder for bands to make money from CD sales. £9.99 per CD + p&p is excellent value for money. Two live albums with an hour or more of music on each one is preferable every time to a single album of highlights. It's all about value for money, and the band always deliver on that score. Let's hope we don't get snookered, or check mated, by our friends at the Royal Mail when the first of these is due to be sent out. |

As far as the live album goes, it sounds interesting. The current line up have played some great shows, so that bodes well for the CDs, but think I'll just hold back until I've heard a bit of feedback from others on the forum. I'm looking forward to the new live album, as it will be interesting to hear some of the newer songs performed live.
With regards the new studio LP, I hope it will be upto the quality of Glass Shadows, which with Passengers, is my favourite of all M.A's albums, and it would be nice if Ian Jennings is fully involved. I would like to hear some Anne-Marie Helder songs it; her EP, The Contact is excellent, and songs of that quality would encance the album, I reckon. |

I would like to hear some Anne-Marie Helder songs it; her EP, The Contact is excellent, and songs of that quality would enhance the album, I reckon. If you want to hear Anne-Marie's songwriting, you need to pre-order Panic Room's "Satellite" - should be shipping some time in November, according to the band. It's full of Anne-Marie's songs, and having heard a lot of it live, it's well worth getting.I fully expect the next MA album to be made up of Bryan's and Heather's songs, since the other three songwriters (Anne-Marie, Iain and Livvy) are all effectively on loan from other bands.

This has been the most interesting post for some time and I think answers a number of the questions that have been brought up in it. As with the title I would like to register my own thoughts on what has been brought up:
Overall I have been a fan of MA for the last 7 years and could not think of life being the same without them, some of my most memorable nights have been MA
connected and who could ever forget the convention which was truely awesome.

I think I would have prefered a normal double album rather than 2 seperate parts but still looking forward to it, ordered mine today, fingers crossed about
postal strike. As to new album, we are all different, I am in the minority but I find passengers the hardest recording for me to listen to right through,
however, played live and on their own merits the songs are fantastic. I love heart hfos and gs, who can say that unorigonal sin, flowes for guns, tearing at
the fearytale and above the blue dont sound amazing live so, would you have prefered gs to be different and have missed those songs? One thing about the
mostlies is each recording, though still clearly MA , does have a different feel, you know what to expect yet you dont, I perefer that than the usual band
retreading the same old thing with different titles. After all MA are the first band since i was a teenager to send a shiver down my spine and after 8yrs they
still do, wouldnt have missed them for the world and long may they continue, Brian and Heather are as strong a writting colaboration as in any band so instead
of complaints feel lucky.......

With the postal dispute I was beginning to regret ordering from MA records rather than wait to get the CD at a gig but I should not have worried because it was
sitting on the door mat when I returned home for lunch today.

Got mine today aswell. Am on 'Caught in a Fold' at the moment, but it's sounding fantastic so far. It's definatley a HUGE improvement on all
the other live albums MA have done, so well done that front.
Hopefully Part II will be released soon so I will be able to sit down one evening and enjoy a whole Mostly Autumn concert in my own home :P Roll on December 11th |

I didn't order this because I don't have much faith in the mail at the moment, so I'm hoping it will be on the merchandise stand when I see the
band next week.

only one thing i cant work out is part one is only 48mins so unless the second part is a double cd or unless my memories of them playing around 2 1/2hrs each
time i have seen them, i dont quite see how its the whole set apart from turn it on, not complaining though, really good mix on vocal especially flower where
you can clearly hear all 3 girls, i didnt notice at the time but anyone else think that brians lead towards the end of flowers has a real santana feel?
