A couple of years back Bryan was quoted in this article in The Independent.
http://www.independent.co...ive-and-well-438406.html "We fund the band through record sales and ticket sales, selling albums at concerts and through our website. That generates enough money to enable the band to keep going. For the initial funding of an album, we make a special limited edition - the last one was two and a half thousand - and sell them first, which covers our costs. Then afterwards we release a standard edition on general release. If it goes as normal, we'll probably do about 12,500 of Heart Full of Sky. Anything above that depends on publicity and radio-play. But we generate our fanbase from people coming to see us, which is the best way. We do two main tours a year, and some festivals, writing and recording the albums in between" I'm led to believe that HFoS ended up doing rather better than that - I think RogerN stated that it was the band's best seller to date.

At the time HFOS did end up becoming the band's best selling album. I'm not sure how many units have actually been sold though and I also don't
know how Glass Shadows has faired in comparison since its release.

Thanks. i know about the presale cd's have the last 3, that oic of you kalyr i took for you! I was just wondering if sales are increasing and by how much,
after the great half page review in classic rock a couple of cd's ago did it increase sale, and as i now see Gs in local HMV does it mean sales are going
up, classic rock in general doesnt give enough exposure but i would love to think sales are growing and maybe just maybe chart success is on its way!

that pic of you kalyr i took for you! Thanks. Been using that one as an avatar for ages, without being able to remember who actually took it. It's rather better than the one of me with Heather, Angie and Chris (plus Andy Goodall in the background) which isn't very flattering of anyone in the picture.
